Hello, my lovelies!!

It’s been a few months! I never meant to let it slide, but frankly the days are going by incredibly fast and there always seems to be things that need to get done. Having the entire family together all day makes things busier too, I think.

I admit, I don’t have a specific article for you today. But it had just been SO LONG and I wanted to say “hi”.

These past few months have found me focused on trying to make my business viable online. When we first entered the stay at home phase and I shut my doors, like many of you, I thought it would be for only a few months. Now, I’m seeing the bigger picture and realizing that my doors will be shut for at least another 8 months or more. I had a good cry (and tapping session) about that.

But then I realized that without this virus, I wouldn’t be pushing myself further out of my comfort zone. And you know what? It feels good!! Well… at first it feels scary, and then it feels good! Really good!!

You may have read (if you’re on social media) many of the new kinds of posts I’ve been doing. I started by talking about my own personal journey towards healing and how it’s created me to be the kind of movement and mindfulness coach that I am today.

I then moved on to some interviews with current clients to share their experiences with my work. If you missed any of them, you can find the buttons at the top/bottom of the newsletter to get you there. Click Facebook, Instagram or YouTube and you’ll find a number of new things.

Today, I want to share a new class I’m embarking on and why I’m so excited about teaching it!!.

Two years ago, I decided I needed/wanted to do more to help my brain. I embarked on what was a personal journey of discovery through Spring Forest Qigong. This ancient Chinese movement meditation is considered one of the most powerful energy healing techniques in the world. There have been many scientific studies on the power of healing and is used in China to help everything from keeping the brain young, to healing cancer and heart disease, diabetes, anxiety and depression, chronic pain, and so much more! (I even just read a study on Qigong and keeping a healthy libido as we age). 😉

Not only is it used for personal healing, but can also be utilized to heal others, both in person and long distance. While I began the practice solely to heal myself and my brain from the effects of my TBI, I fell in love with it and have not missed a day of practice in two years.

Because I felt and saw the differences in myself, I began advancing to more levels to use it for helping others. I’m now using it with my clients on a regular basis and have been getting great feedback, which is exciting and have decided it will now be included in all client sessions if there is enough time at the end.

You know I’m always trying to go deeper and learn more and it’s true for Qigong as well. I’m now a level 3 practitioner and healer as well as a certified group practice leader. In order to advance up any more levels, I’m required to begin teaching. Which is a gift in itself as it’s been life-changing for me, and I’m super excited to share this with others!!

Something that I love about Qigong is that its philosophies on healing the body resonate completely with the other modalities I use and believe in. When working with healing another individual we are looking at healing the emotions stuck in the body. AKA the blockages stopping the Qi from moving freely. And so, while the form is newer, the background of it feels the same., and I’m wholeheartedly onboard.

It’s just sooo exciting to keep finding crossovers and new modalities to help you all!! I was born to do this!! And each addition of a technique or tool allows me to put the pieces of your puzzle together a little bit easier!

But I never just put the pieces of the puzzle together and let you go home not knowing or understanding. That’s not how I work. I teach YOU all of the ways to heal yourself. It’s a journey we take together.

Whether you take Barre, or workshops with me, or do private sessions, you know that I love to help you understand your physical body and how it works, as well as the mind-body-nervous system connection.

And here is a new way for me to share my love of holistic mind-body wellness!
